We can't possibly address all of the questions you might have about your new HPU Passport, but here are answers to a few questions that might cross your mind.

HPU Passport: Your Account and Cash Usage
Where can I use the money that is on my card?
Your HPU Passport has three accounts. Each account provides service to a different experience of your life on and off campus.
General Account
Vending Machines
Campus Concierge
Post Office
Safety Office
Local Businesses
Dining Dollars
Cafeteria
Chick-Fil-A
C-Store
The Grille
Starbucks
Subway
Bookstore
University Bookstore
How do I know how much money I have in my account?
For balance inquiries, log on to http://community.highpoint.edu and click on the HPU Passport tab.
Can I transfer money from my Dining Dollars to my General account?
Unfortunately, no. The money that is in your dining account can only be used in the cafeteria and eateries on campus.
Will I lose my dining dollars?
Yes, your dining dollars expire at the end of each semester. The money in this account is tied directly to the meal plan that you choose, which may change from semester to semester.
Will I ever lose the balance in my General or Bookstore Account?
Yes, upon Graduation, at which time any balances remaining in the General or Bookstore accounts are non-refundable. Balances rollover from your Freshman to your Senior year, but you must spend any money in your General or Bookstore accounts BEFORE you graduate.

Transaction History
If you are like we are, you want to know on a daily basis where your money went and (more importantly) how much money you have left to on your HPU Passport card. Please visit http://community.highpoint.edu. You will have access to statements (just like your bank statement) for each account that you have.

Meal Plans
Meal plans will work like they always have. For issues pertaining to a board plan (whether on campus or off campus), please contact Student Accounts at (336) 841-9259 or via email at studentaccounts@highpoint.edu.

Building Access
If you are a student living on campus and you run into issues with accessing a particular building, such as your residence hall, please contact Student Life at (336) 841-9231. For issues that arise after normal business hours, please contact the Safety Office at (336) 841-9112.

Adding Money to the HPU Passport
If you would like to put money on your HPU Passport card using cash or check, please visit the Card Office in Roberts Hall, Room 248.

If you or your parents (or even grandparents) would like to use a credit card to place money on the HPU Passport, you may go online at http://community.highpoint.edu and use the "Guest Deposit" feature. There is a module with detailed instructions on the landing page.

You may also log in using your campus username and password. Once you are logged, click on the tab in that reads "HPU Passport," and there is a section on the page that gives information on making a deposit.

For issues with passwords logging into the Community System, students should contact the Helpdesk at (336) 883-HELP or online at http://support.highpoint.edu.

Can I use money allotted for books on coffee instead?
Although we sympathize with you, the answer is, "No." We want to help you and your parents guarantee that you will not run out of money when trying to access some of our vital services on campus. Money for books can only be used at our Barnes & Noble on campus. Money for dining services can only be used at our Cafe, convenience store and other campus food facilities.

The general spending account (think of it more as "fun money") can be used for vending on campus (drink and snack machines), business around the area, and any other campus facility that accepts the HPU Passport as a method of payment.

As you know, your card is now an important part of your High Point University life and it carries a cash balance for you. (If you lose your card and your roommate starts gaining weight I would start worrying). Don't wait! Get your card cancelled immediately online.

Go to http://community.highpoint.edu, log in using your HPU username and password and click on I have lost my card Check box.

If you need help with your card feel free to contact our Card Office at (336) 841-4516.
